That’s the owner of the Newk’s Theatre, J.J. “Newk” Newcomb who ran a local hotel, a local cigar factory, a local bill poster plant, and from 1911, his Newk’s Theatre which he’s standing in front of in 1936. Shirley Temple is on the big screen.
