The front of the former Astoria cinema South Norwood, taken August 1965. To the extreme left side of the white facade can still be seen Architect Richard Seifert’s original Art Deco parabola glass tower that displayed the cinema name at night. There are seven segments one for each letter which lit red when illuminated from within.
