“We bid farewell to visual artist and graphic designer Shelley Howard, the man who created and produced thousands of concert advertisements for Jam Productions since 1974. His artwork – mostly in the form of newspaper ads, posters, fliers, billboards, brochures, and web banners – promoted concerts in hundreds of music clubs, theatres, arenas, amphitheaters, stadiums, and festivals in Chicago and throughout the U.S. He left an indelible mark on the city’s nightlife scene and created a one-of-a-kind legacy over the past five decades. In a town that reveres its creative mavericks and storytellers, he was without peer.”
