A tiny detail from an aerial photograph, hence the poor focus, shows the (then former) Shipley Picture House and the Glenroyal. The arrow to the Shipley Picture House runs up Charles Street from where the photograph (on the SPH pages) of the former SPH cinema and adjacent, white, Fleece Inn was taken. The site of the SPH is now a left-filter lane (for traffic from Baildon to the north making in the direction of Leeds to the east) and area of shrubs. The site of the demolished Glenroyal is derelict (2015). The photograph of the freshly demolished Glenroyal was also taken from Chester Street.
