Beautiful details in this classic theatre. Is there a reason the lighting and sound equipment added to these lovely older theatres are always black? Why not a color that would match the walls and other backgrounds. They would not standout as much. Just a thought. Check out the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle. One of the most elaborate movie palaces in the country from the 20’s. It is now also a live theatre. It is also full of black lighting and speakers. I have been there many times and the incredible plaster details would be nicer if the black metal was a more subtle gold or beige or gilt.
