These pictures were taken on 5 April, 2012. The Windsor has been showing movies in this theatre since the silent days in one of two back-to-back halls with a common stage between them. The rear one is a Masonic Lodge’s meeting venue, and the cinema is leased from them. One of a minor Adelaide chain conducted for very many years by the Cunew family, it is very popular because of its policy of showing two quality movies for less than the admission charges for one in most cinemas, soon after and often simultaneously with their runs in the major theatres. Now long conducted by a partnership of two friends, this small theatre has impeccable showmanship standards in common with other Windsor Theatres which they have conducted in leased halls over the years, the one in Lockleys being still in operation.
