The Tudor theme was used in several of Adelaide’s Star theatres. The stairs to the balcony (Lounge and Dress Circle) rise to the left. Behind it, daylight from the glass doors in the entrance lobby illuminate a patron and a ticket box, while to the right an ingle nook enables some of the waiting patrons to snuggle around an electric fire in Winter. Two marble steps led to the doors from Payneham Road. The nearby Norwood Star had a very similar foyer layout and decor.
