Three of Nelson’s cinemas in June 1925. The rebuilding work can be seen at the Majestic. It had been an upper floor hall, the Electric Palace. It was enlarged by incorporating the ground floor shops to form the new stalls area. A house behind the stage end (left in the photo) had been acquired to extend the building and have stage facilities and dressing rooms. Reopening was Saturday 30 October 1925
