It’s New Year’s Eve in the 1930s and the Embassy Ballroom is alive with excitement. Dancers are twirling across 12,000 square feet of jarrah floor, jazz fills the air and the excitement of a brand-new year is in full swing.
Opened in 1928, the Embassy Ballroom was a big part of Perth’s dance band era and the place to be on New Year’s Eve, while it sat beside the magnificent Capitol theatre in William Street..
