Hoyts' Esquire Theatre in Bourke Street, Melbourne in 1975 at the premiere of “Tommy” in quadraphonic stereo surround sound. The Esquire closed at the end of 1975 to make way for extensions to the Coles Variety Store/Supermarket next door.
