The Gaiety transformed in 1912 by builders J Lay & Sons now called Gaiety Picture Palace, gone the fairground style entrance replaced by a more elegant frontage shows an enclosed glazed island paybox, above information that Keasts Pictures are shown featuring History, Travel, Comedy and Drama. Grand gilt display boards stand either side in front of the new circular glazed entrance doors that lead into the refurbished auditorium now seating 350. Ron Knee
