Here’s Dudley’s Theatre at 303 N. Cushing Avenue. It opened in 1938 and was bought out by the Joy Circuit a year later. It was rebranded as the first Joy Theatre. It was later torn down and replaced by a small restaurant building.

The Rio in the middle of the block and rebuilt after a 1943 fire. The town could only effectively support one theatre and the Rio became the Joy into the 1970s. It was converted to a retail store.
