Above photograph of the Magnet cinema Bristol opening 1914 showing the façade. Displayed on the front poster board ‘Thou Shalt Not’ a silent film produced br Fox Film Productions in 1919, now a Lost Film. Films shown twice nightly at 6.15 pm and 8.45 pm admission charges 2p. 3p. 4p. & 6p. The Magnet Architects were Holbrow & Oaten. Later Alfred Oaten set up his own practice and built another cinema the Charlton cinema in Keynsham.
