In the good days a simple cyclone wire mesh fence surrounded the area, while patrons sat on moulded plastic chairs. These were arranged in permanent rows. The screen was at the west-end, backing onto the sand hills.

The cinema closed in 1983, not long after a cyclone swept threw and devastated the screen. All that was left in 1997 was the concession area which contained the toilets and bio box, and all of this standing in a mess of decaying bitumen – Contributed by Greg Lynch –
