‘TALKIES" FOR THE REGENT THEATRE ALBANY - Albany Advertiser Tues Dec 3, 1929
The installation of Talkie equipment for the Regent Theatre was commenced on Monday. The equipment consists of both methods in use in all the city theatres. That is, sound on film and sound on disc. This equipment brings Albany right up to date in the picture production methods.
Wednesday and Thursday 18th & 19th of December - 1929, will be the opening nights for talkie programmes. The picture chosen for the opening is “Father and Son,” with Jack Holt - Watch for further announcements - Contributed by Greg Lynch -
