Photograph above shows the sad former entrance into the Regal. Architect was J. Owen Bond and built by local builders Peeke Vout and Sons for East Coast Cinemas, opening on February 8th 1937. The Regal’s design was identical to that of County Cinema Aylsham. The Regal closed in March 1973. After closure was used for storage, then a small fire, a workshop and finally in 1982 another storage depot for Richard Neave Ltd, for removals, storage and shipping company before demolition.
