Rick Derksen on Facebook - A friend of mine back in 1979 had a new Ford GXL the first car I’d seen with electric windows back then.. He was so proud of it. We all took a couple of people to the drive-in one night but most of the girls wanted to go in his new car. He was showing off his prowess and acting cocky, but at the end of the night he got stuck there, because all the girls not ever seeing auto windows before, were playing with the switches all night and flattened his battery. So he had to wait for everyone to leave the drive-in so he could get a jump start. He arrived at the after meeting about an hour later with his head bowed a red face. Never bragged again…lol
