The manager with a full bouffant hairdo and packet of smokes in his rolled back white T-shirt sleeve, would prowl the aisle with his torch looking for baddies.

My neck was strained for a week looking almost straight up at the screen … we were so naive we thought the closer the better, right ?

I didn’t go to see another movie for years after that, the scare was too much. But I recently saw Steve McQueen in another bad B and he was a pretty bad actor. However, I still think he’s handsome as hell !

We lived just down the road and around the corner, 11 Marama street, Merlynston in what had been a chicken farm.
