The Grand Opera House and its neighbor to the left, the Hotel Cowan. Road show acts played at the Grand and stayed at the Cowan. After the road show era had pretty much ended, the Cowan became the Hotel Roslyn which burned down December 16, 1932. Within six years of that fire, the Grand would be demolished and replaced by a post office.
