The Melrose Theatre Perth - Review
*ROY RENE
A crowded house greeted the change of programme at ‘Melrose Theatre on Saturday evening. Roy Rene, a clever Yiddisher comedian, who made his first appearance, scored an instantaneous success, and was on excellent terms with his hearers from the moment he appeared on the stage. This was forthcoming in what was described as an impersonation of a Jewish prize fighter — an agreeable bit of foolery, excellently received - Mon 13 Jan, 1913
