This 1918 colorized view (courtesy Springwood Historical Society) shows Springwood Hall (#1) bottom right, with a permanent sign reading: ‘Pictures Every Saturday’. On 3rd August 1921 a fire started in a nearby shop (out of frame right). Several buildings were completely destroyed, including Honeysett’s hall - which he chose not to re-build. Instead he constructed a motor garage which traded for more than 40 years. Shops now occupy the site.
