Photograph showing full height of this impressive entrance foyer area. The general decorative treatment was in Marb-L-Cote flecked with red and gold, while the 25ft tall fluted columns which support the half-way staircase, landing and circle promenades were in green and gold. The acanthus capitals to these columns and decorative fibrous plaster boarders to the ceiling panels were finished in gold, red, green and light blue. Lighting for this whole upper and lower areas were by suspended chandeliers. Details from the Leslie Kemp Archives.
