After nine years, management decided on new Wilton carpet for the foyer areas. Regent General Manager Stanley N. Wright explored various designs and offered up a final two for Hoyts Managing Director Charles E. Munroe to consider. He chose a brown and blue design ‘to reflect the dignity and general decorative scheme of the theater’. This colorized view of the entrance lobby shows the staircase leading to the upstairs lounge, also the main booking office can be seen, and on the right are stairs leading down to the facilities for Gentlemen located under the foyer.
