This is a shot right outside of The Showboat in 1938. Kids and adults took a shuttle bus from Peck’s Department Store in downtown Auburn and were taken for free to The Showboat. Once there, there was gambling on the outside (see above), alcoholic beverages and drinking inside, and an eclectic mix of feature films ranging from classics to exploitation and independent films.
