M1944**thanks for this great photo of the back of the PP DI semi curved screen. You can see the wood sections on the sides that they added for CinemaScope® in the 1950’s.

terrywade, The CinemaScope screen was built in front of (not on to) the original screen in May of 1954. A fire destroyed the original screen (which was made out of wood) in 1972. The Gratiot drive in in Michigan also had the same set up.
