It was called the ‘Dolan Theatre’ when It first opened around Easter time April 1947. This is a photo from my collection of the stage. It was refurbished for CinemaScope around 1954 with a little wider screen with curtains. They changed most of the deco fixtures around the stage and side lights plus re did the front to look like a western type building. The Burl Theatre had a small apartment upstairs near the projection room. Must have been noisy.
