I used to go here & Movies 12 a lot in the 7 months – the first time – I lived in Edmonton, as those 2 were the cheap theatres.

The third theater to open in West Edmonton Mall was Cineplex-Odeon West Mall 8 on September 27, 1985. This theater is located on the first level of Phase III’s West Edmonton Mall expansion, in the heart of the food court area next to the Big McDonald’s. The box office is situated upfront on the food court level, and behind it is a long curved hallway with ramps and stairs leading down to the main lobby, concessions, office, arcade games, washrooms, and 8 auditoriums on the level below. It became a 2nd-run/dollar theater on April 30, 2004 after Cineplex-Odeon Cinemas 6 closed its doors the day before.
