    I have animation films from Fox Animation Studio. I bought them from Fox when they closed the studio. I have “Anastasia” and “Titan A.E.”. There are the original films, the color test, the pencil test, and all of the cut outs that were not use in the movies. I’m looking to sell them.

    Ridgewood Theatre items

    RIDGEWOOD, QUEENS, NY — A few months ago the Ridgewood Theatre closed due to competition from a new near by Multiplex.
    Found in this 95 year old theatre was the following:
    1- 4 columns about 15 feet tall in the balcony. They are in the
    shape of a women or mermaid. They were in a sealed off room.
    2- The blower and pipes for the organ (which was not found).
    The blower was installed by The Kinetic Engineering Company of
    Philadelphia and was certainly used in the silent picture period.
    3- Several old light fixtures.

    I’m wondering is there is any interest in these items and what their value might be.

    I had my hands on a great three screen theater in Southeastern VA a few months ago that is still for lease. My backing fell through, so here I am. I’m still seeking a small theater to lease.     Neighborhood Flix Cinema and Cafe assets go to auction

    DENVER, CO — After only 10 months in operation, Neighborhood Flix Cinema & Cafe went under. In order to satisfy some of the tax liens incurred during their brief stint in business, the Denver Department of Finance will be selling the assets and equipment of the theater and restaurant at public auction on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. The auction will take place on-site at 2510 E. Colfax, Denver.

    “We’ve sold many different types of businesses, but never a movie theater” said Rich Schur, Auctioneer with Schur Success Auction Services, who will be conducting the sale for the City of Denver. “Talk about your home theater set up,” Schur added. “Wouldn’t it be cool to have a thirty-foot screen in the house?”

    The auction will include all of the projectors, screens, and theater seating in each of the three theaters. In addition, the lobby furniture, kitchen equipment, and most every other item used in the business will be sold as well.

    Wanted to lease – Cinema with art house potential

    With 12 years experience getting two independent theatres off the ground for other folks we are now ready to do this for ourselves. Looking for a theatre — ideally a twin but we’re flexible — in a community that would support film festival hits, midnight movies and diverse programming. Bonus points for a space that can support live music and/or a kitchen.

    We’ve got our favorite towns and regions but we’ll keep those to ourselves for now and say we’re open to suggestions.
