Looking for theater to renovate in Northern Michigan
Hello,
I’m looking for an old theater in Michigan to buy and renovate. I prefer northern Michigan. While I have not owned a theater before, I have owned many businesses (including rebuilt ones) such as restaurants and bars. I’m open to all prices under 400K.
Please let me know of any leads.
Thank you,
Amy

Need Partner For Multiplex Theatre
I am looking for a working or silent partner to help in a very nice theater project. A small investment is required but very little. I mainly want someone that loves theaters and wants to be a part of a very good one. You do not have to have experience in the theater business at all but a desire to learn, grow and make some money and have fun at the same time.
Send an email with your name and phone number. I will contact you as soon as I get your information. The theater’s location is in the central midwest, Iowa MN area.
Thanks!

Bucks County Drive-In possible return
WARRINGTON, PA — I’m thinking of bring back the Bucks County D-I back for ONE night. I own large inflatable movie screens for showing movies in the parks, etc. I was thinking of putting it up on the parking lot where the D-I once stood. I would supply the screen, audio w/ FM radio sound and projector.
Lowes does let a car show use its parking lot. Heres the problem: I can not do it alone. If you are interested in helping
Thanks,

Former theater manager needs help in producing a film
After 10 years in theater operations, both multiplex and historical single screen houses, I am taking my love for these buildings and my passion for filmmaking and looking to fund and produce a throwback horror film set in an old vaudeville theater. “Midnight Show” is headed by the team from Underbelly. a partner series on the next new networks.
But we need Cinema Treasures followers help in getting this before the camera. Follow the link to IndieGoGO and see if maybe you would want to contribute to this exciting project and get your name in the credits with a donation of as little as 10 dollars!

Milwaukee Motion Picture Commission information wanted!
Milwaukee Grad Student seeks anyone who has any first-hand knowledge of the old Milwaukee Motion Picture Commission. The MMPC was a censorship board that screened and rated all films to play in the city. The commission also occasionally either demanded that scenes be cut from films, or barred films from showing all together. I have not been able to find anyone who actually dealt with the group and any help would be very much appreciated.

Sidney Bernstein’s Granada Cinema Dover
Hi,
I am researching Sidney Bernstein’s flagship Granada Cinema Dover, UK. I am especially interested in the stage equipment and organ lift. Maybe this was a standard specification used in all Granada’s of the time. Are there any examples anybody is aware of?
Also there are only a few interior photos of the auditorium around and I wondered if there is such a thing as a Bernstein archive that is viewable.
Thanks for reading,

Does anyone know of a company that restores old theater seats?
EAST GREENWICH, RI — I am on the Board of Directors for the Greenwich Odeum. We are in the process of trying to re-open the Odeum, but need some help with our seats. We are trying to see if they (metal with fabric/padded seats) can be salvaged, and therefore we need to find a company that reupholsters old theater seats.
Thanks!

Help sought to identify two open air theatres
Greetings CT visitors,
I am trying to identify the whereabouts of the US open air theatre that is visible in the three images online
If anyone may be able to pass on any hints, I would be most appreciative. A search for ‘open air theatres’ on CT doesn’t give many leads – acknowledging of course that the pictured theatre is not obviously an open air cinema.
Background: my grandmother and her sister are shown in the picture as part of a troupe called The Six Rockets that toured the US in the 20’s and early 30s (one can see their name on the plaque to the left of the stage on the upper left photo). At various times they were an RKO as well as Loew’s Act.
