There was a mention that in the summer of 1959 or 1960 Windjammer played in Cinemiracle at the Warren. I can’t find any ads for this. All I see are ads for live shows during those two summers. In late 1960 the interior was demolished.
Too bad other than the 2001: a space odyssey ad, there are no other ads or pictures of the theatre when it was a Cinerama theatre from 1961 to 1969. I would love to add them to my list of Cinerama theatres – http://incinerama.com/ctcineramatheatres.htm
I took my children to see a double feature of Disney’s Aladdin and another Disney movie back in the 1990’s. It closed shortly after that. It’s now a condo complex.
Saw Sound of Music at this theatre. I also use to live on Grove St. in 1980’s and could walk to the theatre. I think it was only 99 cents to see a movie after it was twinned.
This was a Cinerama theatre from 1965 to 1969. It would be cool if there were some pictures of the theatre during that time and/or ads that mention Cinerama for the movies that played there.

DavidZornig I don’t see the 1954 photo with the Cinerama marquee.

I uploaded three pictures that I found searching on the web
I use to go to this theatre when it was just one screen. Later they converted it to two screens and only charged 99 cents to a see a movie.
