Adverstising in the Pentwater local newspaper were also the Hart theatre and Shelby theatre, but i had no idea of the location.so i did not submit those two theatres. Thanks guys for added info.
James any way to add some pictures and maybe flesh out some of the old Drive-ins in Columbus that i put on CT . Sure you can add much more than i could living in Augusta!
Friend in Charlotte shot video that day i was exploring, but have never gotten a copy.he has probably lost the VHS tape it was on.Also shot VHS of the old Fox Drive-in.
Jan 8 1970 and Paul Newman is starring in “WINNING” there at the Roxy.Like so many small towns it felt the need to add over the movie ad,“Adults and Mature Young people”.Wildest Double feature ever At the ROXY. Jan 12 1972 sees “THE INCREDIBLE TWO HEADED TRANSPLANT” with a “WALK IN THE SPRING RAIN”.Can’t make it up.
Thanks maybe i read the ad wrong.I did see an ANGELS CAMP THEATRE in that city, but i thought it might have been the Uptown Theatre renamed like so many are during the years of operation,Chuck 1231. So i did not want to submit it.
Great.I remember going to the Drive-ins in Hendersonville,N.C. and always would grab more than one playbill.I saved so much stuff, but i remember cutting them up for the movie picture, never realizing to save the whole playbill.
