In fact, I really don’t think “TRON” set any big BO records.I was still in the theatre business at GCC.We never played it.We might have had"ROCKY 3" at that time.I can’t remember. So many movies.
WHP, This from Bill Barkley.{the last Union projestionist from Local 518}. “to answer,WHP’s Question,‘Scotty and Boots’ had a one hit wonder called "Money,Marbles and Chalk”.I always felt it was a song about getting old,and i was a young man in those days. They were sponsored by VIM-HERB for colds.Heck,It was 60 proof. One could get drunk,Whp.Hope that helps.“ ..Bill Barkley.
I was thinking about the EWING.It is on CT.Most of the ROSA Drive-in was standing last time i was in Middlesboro, but someone posted on the ROSA site on CT it is a Big Truck Stop.
thanks Nick.that is one danger to watch for is Rattlesnakes and Copperheads. However, you know me i venture on.I do recall you getting Ticks on you one time exploring an old Drive-in in North Carolina.

It closed as a Chris McGuire Theatre whatever that was.
Thanks.A chain called Chris McGuire Cinemas had every theatre in Rome in the early seventies.Must be regional.
Thanks guys.
Do they really have to add screens? I can answer that myself.
What a theatre! Thanks KenRoe.I do enjoy looking at all you get on.I don’t know if folks thank you enough.Have a Merry Christmas.
Yes, this could be one of those tales that gets told.Needs a check.
And i think the second feature was a stupid Comedy.95 % sure.Maybe one needs to laugh after that mass murderer.
I sorta thought most all of these single screens I got on were Multi-plexed to death.Lol.
Nick,Great stuff.
1972 and an old Elvis Double feature,“SPINOUT” and “SPEEDWAY” are playing.
Dec.1 1961 sees “WICHITA” a western and a silly sixties,“SEX KITTENS GO TO COLLEGE”.some more great Drive-in booking.
The Desoto had its share of horror movies like Dec.1 1961 and “BRAINWASHED” is showing. In the Seventies it was a Chris McGuire Cinemas.
Took forever for a sequel.
