Opened on June 29, 1951 with Audie Murphy in “Kansas Raiders” & Scott Brady in “Undertow”. This Rome, Georgia drive-in was owned by LAM Operating Company. The West Rome Drive-In was one of two in Rome, the Cedar Valley Drive-In being the second. I have seen it.
The West Rome Drive-In parked 500 cars making it the city’s largest. It was closed on December 9, 1984.
