I love movies,spent Eight years in the Theatre Business with three different chains.I don’t care what any price is anymore,$19.00 is entirely too much ,I think six or seven dollars should be top price be it New York City or some small town in the South.Case Closed!
The Lake and the Lyric and The Park Theatres must have been grand theatres looking at the ads for these theatres all side by side in the Painesville Paper.
Movies for the most part just don’t do it for me.No Lancaster,Fonda.Heston.Wayne,McQueen,Eastwood is retired.Nope this crop of Movie heroes Stink,Guys.
June 2 1981 ROYAL PARK CINEMA 4…
Playing on four screens.8th week “EXCALIBUR”.“BUSTIN'LOOSE”, “FORE SEASONS” and LEGEND OF THE LONE RANGER".This from the Gainesville paper.Micheal, i guess it expanded.I don’t live there so i don’t know any more about it.But it was Four Screens.
“Deep Throat” played here Sept.74.A long history of X rated movies would follow,this at a Drive-in that played movies like “THE OUT OF TOWNERS” with Jack Lemmon.
I have C.E.Monscone and L.Bilolean owning this drive-in.Also “AIRPORT” played here with “MILLION DOLLAR DUCK” next feature.Didn’t seem to run a lot of Double features.
The Missouri theatre was operated by DURWOOD and DUBINSKY and later it was an AMC THEATRE.{Dunwood Corp.}
“BUTCH CASSIDY and THE SUNDANCE KID” First run Here!
LOL.
