QUESTION, I was on yelp and it look like a auditorium is not stadium seating. Is is possible that 1 or 2 screens are not stadium seating. I almost went their a few years ago on vacation, but went to the Ritz 5 which I wasn’t impressed, it was like a 1980 retro movie place, not modern.
In Brooklyn, NY United Artists converted Sheepshead Bay to Stadium seating with the exception of 2 screens. Did that happen at Riverview also.
Please update in description, the theatre closed for renovations late January 1988, reopened under Loews and M and R on February 9, 1990. Theatre closed by AMC on September 14, 2006. Just uploaded some material from the Chicago Tribune.
Question is what happened to the orchestra, when I was their in August 1994, it had 6 screens which were on the two old balcony levels. It would of been nice Loews would of built a screen in the old orchestra level.
PLEASE UPDATE, THE THEATRE OPENED ON NOVEMBER 27, 1996.. WRONG DATE IN DESCRIPTION. It was a Cineplex Odeon Theatre, which became Loews Cineplex before it was merge with AMC, the curent owners.
Please update, Also, IMAX theatre opened February 27, 2009 with Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience. First IMAX Theatres in Suffok County, open the same day as Regal Deer Park.
Also, AMC and Loews merged, using AMC as the brand name and it open in 1998 with 15 screens. 2 auditoriums weren’t open at Grand Opening due to the county wasn’t crazy about 17 screens in their neighborhood.. A few years later, Loews and the county got the ok to open the remaining two screens.

Please add to description, Eagle Eye was the first movie shown in IMAX Cinema 1 at the AMC Empire on September 26, 2008. It was the first IMAX digital theatre in New York City.
Question, this theatre show IMAX 15/70 films before IMAX Digital. Is this a big IMAX screen or similar to baby IMAX but show IMAX 15/70 before IMAX digital started. I’m looking at old ads in 2004 and 2005 in the Daily News and this theatre show IMAX movies, IMAX Digital didn’t start until Eagle Eye in 2008.
Just uploaded photos taken between 2004 and 2010 of the Grand Avenue Cinemas. I was last there in 2010 when it was Clearview CInemas. Bow Tie Cinemas never went to digital projection and it now independent. The new owners don’t have a website.
Please note the photos are screen numbers when it was Clearview Cinemas. Based on a photo I saw on Google, the new owners renumbered the screens. Theatre 5 is now Theatre 2 and Theatre 4 is now Theatre 3.
Please add to description, after AMC and Loews merge, all screens had stadium seating May 4, 2007 and in 2016, AMC installed their signature Recliners in all auditorium.

Luckily Cinema 123 is still open. In 2002 it was rumored that the location would close. Luckily it still open
Look on google Foursquare or yelp. There are some with renovations. Last there in June 2017 a few months before they started

On November 17, 1989 Loews added two screens to go to 8 screens. Can’t figure out when they eventually got to 14 screens?
