This is a 1927 photo of a theater at Broad and Lombard. The sign says Standard Theater, which makes me wonder if this was a different theater than the Lincoln. http://tinyurl.com/olscgr
I’m trying to place this theater at 40th and Market, photo is from 1949. It looks like it says “Ericka” on the marquee. If you recognize it let me know. http://tinyurl.com/o3cy8g
The phillyhistory.org site places this 1961 photo at N. 7th and Girard. It looks like there is a Girard Theater at that spot, but it’s hard to tell exactly. http://tinyurl.com/qa76zt
Here are photos from 1982 and 1984. The theater is in Beverly Hills, not Los Angeles, although the border between the two cities is about a block away. http://tinyurl.com/r7pcn2 http://tinyurl.com/pgl2t3
That is the Standard, then. The poster says South Street and 12th. Thanks.

It looks like some newer houses have been built on the even side of Frankford in the 2900 block. No trace of any theater.
Here is the view from Google. I guess they just stuccoed over whatever was on the front.
