Yep,that is it.the fence and all.I guess it was 1992 when i passed it.I can’t believe it is still there, but being so close 1-20 maybe that has kept anyone from buying it.I figured it would have been long gone.thanks Silicon Sam.
jwballer,I just can’t understand why they would go with that look.It looks like a butcher’s shop.If you just got to twin it okay, but not what they did.
I try and dig up these old Drive-ins in and around Georgia and the Carolinas and hope you or Chuck 1231 or Bob can add the needed touches and you guys do a great job.Even with my misspellings sometimes.
In 1956 it parked 100 cars and was owned by Clyde Cannon.According to Motion Picture almanac. I think the Atlanta Constitution did a feature story on this drive-in when re-opened.I have the article somewhere.
Had alot of great times working at GCC and the midnight shows were always a challenge for managers, first getting good movies,I had a good track record.sometimes the stinking bookers didn’t even know what i was talking about.“DAWN OF THE DEAD” along with"ROCKY HORROR" had to be the two biggest midnight money makers for GCC.
Wow, this is great.I live about 50 miles from Greenwood and had no idea they were open.I just thought the Big-Mo was open in Monetta,S.C.And they park 650 cars far cry from what had,But like I said the Drive-in wasn’t in that bad of shape when i visited back in the mid 90’s.It was closed, but i see someone opened it.Hopefully, someone from the AUTO DRIVE-IN will get on CT. And they outta let people in the Augusta area that they are open and in a sporting way let folks know there is another Drive-in besides THE BIG-MO.I know groups that go to the BIG-Mo Drive-in,now I will let them know about this Greenwood Gem. Thanks Silicon Sam,Again.

I bet this was a nice twin theatre, too bad we couldn’t have stayed with twins and maybe triples.
I guess you sent pictures of it didn’t you.I did not like 2010,but went in not liking it.You know me and 2001!
I still think they should spend a little advertising money and hit the Augusta market.I know alot folks that head out to the BIG-Mo.

You never worked in a drive-in?

Yeah, but certainly not “OUR DAYS”.
It is just such an odd looking theatre,I might put it on one of my Favorites list.
Any extra Info would be great from you guys in the Carolinas.
