Cinematreasures is fun! Don’t stress about the location of some of the news items in Today’s Newsreel. I don’t understand why publishers who post web sites assume the visitor knows where their newspaper is located. The world is still physically the same size it has always been. The internet may have made us a global community but it hasn’t made us psychic… yet.
It’s a challenge to determine where some of this wonderful and interesting news is coming from. Thank you so much for providing such a broad range of news about our favorite subject.
This feature is quite interesting and a valuable resource for cinema news. There is one minor inconvenience. The articles do not always indicate the location of the city or country of origin. I know it takes a major effort to locate and consolidate these wonderful articles. Would it be possible to list the city, state, and country in parenthesis by each link? That would add considerably to the pleasure these articles already provide. There you go, give us something wonderful and we want more.
The asking price for the Garden Theater is $1,650,000. It has 14,000 square feet. I’ve been waiting for the “post a picture” feature of theatertreasures to be activated to post a photo of the Garden Theater. I’ll post a photo on our little web site about movie theaters of South Carolina at http://www.cofc.edu/~tiedjem I won’t be able to do that until I get home tonight.
The new site is extraordinary. I know it has been a lot of hard work and has taken a lot of time. It will take me some time to get used to it and take full advantage of its new features. Thank you very much. Like some of the other site users, I have much to add but will wait until I get more familiar with all these new features. Congratulations.
I have photos of local theaters in South Carolina. When will the “Add a Photo” feature be available? I would like to communicate with some of your contributors.
Thanks
I have a photo of the Garden Theater in Charleston if you would like it. Also, there is news regarding the contract between the owner and the City of Charleston. The lease has expired.

The City of Charleston did not renew its lease on this theater and it is no longer in use. It is currently for sale.
