Problem with the theater was the prices, the auditorium size, and the lack of selection. If it was priced more reasonably, a lot more people from the college five minutes away would have gone to it. And the landlord literally gave as many possible chances for Regal to stay there, it just wasn’t profitable enough in the end.

Metropolitan Theaters no longer owns it. It appears that the Santa Barbara International Film Festival currently is operating the theater.

The theater actually has 19 screens. Has one of the few genuine Imax theaters.
Currently, there are 5 screens at the theater.
As of 2016, it appears that D'Place Entertainment is currently managing the theater.
The theater reopened on May 27, 2016.
I was able to find an article stating that the theater was closed February 7, 2015.
This theater closed around 2014, after the new Cineplex drove it out of business.
