The Towne Cinema was opened as a twin by 1977. Two more screens were added in 1982. In the mid-1990’s it was operating with seven screens. In 1996 it was expanded to nine screens. Seating is listed at 2,185 with the smallest auditorium seating 126 and the largest seating 362.
The Towne Cinema Centre was owned by Landmark Cinemas of Canada playing first run attractions.
It was closed February 7, 2015.

This theater closed around 2014, after the new Cineplex drove it out of business.
I was able to find an article stating that the theater was closed February 7, 2015.
Does anyone have the Landmark cinema trailers from around 2001-2004?
This opened as a twin under the name “Towne Cinema”. I cannot find its opening date, but it operated as early as 1977. Two more screens were added in 1982 bringing a total to four screens. It later expanded in 1996.
