Please update, this theatre opened on December 18, 1987 by Cineplex Odeon, the Oakbrook 5-7 original single theatre that was triplex on October 21, 1983 was a seperate building as shown in the display ad, which is posted in the photos section should have it own page on Cinema Treasures.

The total seating capacity is 399

Please update in the description, it became a 4 screens on July 14, 1989, on November 11, 1992 8 screens, June 13, 1996 11 screens and on June 30, 2000 14 screens when Stadium Seating Project was finish. Some ads and articles in the photos section.

On June 13, 1996 Marcus Theatres purchases the theatre (article in photos section) and on June 30, 2000 it was rename Chicago Heights Cinemas.

Star Cinema Grill Acquires Two Chicago Area IPIC Locations Exhibition News • Boxoffice Staff • January 24 2022 Dine-in cinema company Star Cinema Grill has purchased two former iPic locations in the Chicago suburbs of Chicago suburbs of South Barrington and Bolingbrook, with plans to reopen them both by March, the company announced Monday.

Star Cinema Grill will add premium recliner seats with seat heaters and seat-side food and beverage service to all seats, in all auditoriums. The menus will also be updated to include items like “Everything But The Bagel Hummus,” Southwest Eggrolls, Hand Battered Chicken Tenders, and Strawberry Chicken & Walnut Salad.

Houston-based Star Cinema Grill currently operates nine cinemas in Texas and Illinois.

“We are so excited to add two more fantastic theaters to our chain, and give our Hollywood Palms Cinema brand some sister locations in the Chicago market,” Star Cinema Grill’s Vice President of Development Jason Ostrow said in a press release. “These former iPic’s are a great brand fit and we look forward to getting both locations back open as quickly as possible.”

Please rename theatre to Classic Cinemas La Grange XQ, currently the total seats is 306. The theatre is building an additonal 3 screens on the side according to their facebook page schedule to open later this year or next year.

The theatre was twin in 1984, Triplex in 1988 and 4th screen open in 1994. Theatre 5 and 6 open on July 21, 2022

Cinergy Entertainment Announces Expansion to Wheeling, IL

Cinergy Entertainment Group, a leader in family entertainment, announces their 10th location, Cinergy Dine-in Cinemas opening in Wheeling, IL. Cinergy Wheeling Dine-Cinemas will feature in-theater dining, luxury recliner chairs, a spacious sports bar and lounge area including pool tables and shuffleboard. The new location will open this summer in Wheeling Town Center.

Cinergy Wheeling Dine-In Cinemas hosts seven state-of-the-art movie theaters featuring luxury recliner seats with swivel tables. Guests are served in the auditorium by wait staff with online ordering for ease of service. Cinergy offers a premium chef-inspired dining menu which includes an extensive bar menu featuring draft beer and craft cocktails. Guests can also enjoy food and drinks in the sports bar lounge.
