I just figured something about about this theater while looking at pictures on Cinema Treasures: I believe that the short lived CyGamZ entertainment center which closed prior to the sale to Rave was housed in the original lobby. Therefore it looks like 6 screens and a lobby were tacked on to one end of old Showcase 14. The old lobby housed CyGamZ. (CyGamZ still lives on in images on its myspace page). Please someone correct me if I’m wrong.

This opened on the site of the University drive-in in 1988 with 14 cinemas. Six more screens and a new lobby opened in 1998 with 5,876 seats. IMAX screen installed in #19 in 2006.

This multiplex was remodeled twice by Kansas City based architectural firm TK Architects, first for National Amusements, for whom the firm did a stadium conversion and auditorium and lobby expansion, and then for Cinemark’s 2015 renovations. There are a few interior photos on this page of TK’s web site.
