Sorry Dennis:
The Aloha Theatre is now the home of the Kona Association for the Performing Arts (KAPA). KAPA presents live plays, musicals, and concerts throughout the year. When the stage is not in use art films are shown. Under KAPA the building has had a significant facelift and looks great!

History gone. I can’t stand this! All the historic theatres in the world will be gone if this continues! We can’t be taking away from our past to build non essential places! At least this place didnt turn into another parking lot.
This is such a great theatre, I am a volunteer there. If you want the history, to volunteer, to take a tour, or to contribute check out the official website at http://www.historicwaynetheatre.com. We just had our first show in 50 years, a 24 hour Star Trek-A-Thon

The theatre is closed, now a parking garage. It is very sad, the pictures, very depressing. They had to turn it into… parking. <sarcasm>Yes Detroit is in bad need for parking!</scarcasm> I wish it could have lived, too bad, it’s now another ruin of the fabulous Detroit
It was a great place, they had to raze it. Currently still today the Post Bar that razed the building to build it’s new bar has lost funding, and is just sitting there, how nice.

Looks like a nice theatre. Anyone know what year it was first opened?
Razed for a damn McDonalds, man this world is messed up…
There goes another perfectly viable theatre.
Nice comment Jonathan. I wish it could be restored but Illitch has to hold on to stuff, that idiot. He’s got the UA too….
