It looks like this Art Deco theater in Claremore was on Western Avenue, according to the street sign. It was renamed to honor Will Rogers in 1947. Is this the Yale? http://tinyurl.com/6rrnvl
This is a Life Magazine photo taken in Harlem in 1958. I believe the Apollo is in the foreground, with Loew’s Victoria in the background. Neither theater is identified. http://tinyurl.com/6auxaf
The only building close to this address today is apparently vacant. The street is now called Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. Given the angle of the 1950 photo, there’s no way to tell if the current building is the theater.
Here is a blurb from the Pasadena Star-News dated 7/24/74:
Two musical films, “100 Men and a Girl” and “Phantom of the Opera.” will be screened Friday at 1 p.m. at the Villa Glen Theatre in Glendale. Deanna Durbin buffs will enjoy “100", which was released in 1937.
Here is a partial account of a New Year’s Day fire at the Lido in 1933, from the Chicago Tribune:
THEATER BURNS IN MAYWOOD; 75 PATRONS ROUTED
Fireman and Attendant Hurt in $50,000 Fire.
Fire broke out yesterday in the Lido theater at 622 South 5th Avenue, Maywood, seventy-five patrons who were in the lobby waiting to enter, and causing injuries to a fireman and an attendant. There were two other large New Year’s day fires in the metropolitan area.
I agree with that. The Bonita Beauty Salon is at 283 Saratoga. Across the street, which would be 286, is a new building that looks like a school. Status should be closed/demolished.
A stage show about Woodrow Wilson? Hard to picture.

I couldn’t identify the partially obscured theater on the left.
That’s too bad. I hate to see another drive-in go under.
Should be 1957, not 1958, as that is the year the Braves won the World Series.
Correction, World Series was won by Braves in 1957, not 1958.

Maybe they had a dyslexic projectionist.
It was open in 1945, according to the yellow pages of that date. The all-important phone number was FOxcrft 9-2027.
