Nice Grand Opening Ad. Mike Rivest,Loved the way the ad looked like film.Interlocked film the must have had platter machines,sounds like a nightmare to me.

I agree even in the late seventies we ran 20 miniute reels,until we got the bigger reels and could put 3 reels on one and only change over every hour.We also still used carbon arc lamphouses except at the Loews Madison which had xenon bulbs.Xenon was not a bright picture and if the went out they could not be relit as you could with the carbon rods.

Thanks GM I would if I could, I just ran across this link while looking at photos of another theatre,and I do not remember which one.I also have some photos of other theatres to post but I do not have a scanner.I will have to get someone to scan them for me and post.If you check out photos of Tennessee Theatres you may run across this link and click on it and you may find it or others.Good luck.Enjoyed you posts on the other theatres you have commented on.
