I’m not sure about the eligibility. The theaters were part of the amusement pier and never really had their own identity. We had this discussion a while ago about the theater on the Queen Mary. I will take some pictures if I get over that way, though.
I’m going back to Atlantic City this weekend. I would take some pictures but offhand I can’t recall any theaters that are still standing. Even the Warner is down to a facade.
The downtown real estate market is pretty soft right now. I wonder if the investors in the large residential complex on 4th and Main are wondering what the demand will be when it’s finally built.
For some reason I often have this persistent memory of a summer night maybe late sixties or early seventies. Three movies are playing to a packed house. My mom and I were at the Shore mall for some reason, and I remember vividly the movies flickering on the big screens.
Here is a postcard circa 1960s:

The Parkway Bowl is listed variously at 1280 and 1286. It may be the former theater.

It was open when I drove by today, but I didn’t have time to stop in. I wonder if they gutted the interior when it was converted to a pawn shop.

Shouldn’t there be a disclaimer saying “Advertisement”, like they have in the newspaper?

Why does it say 1982?
Not in good shape at all. Some homeless people are living on the property. I will post some photos later.
The current occupant is a linen store called Golden on 26th.
