WEIS DRIVE-In NOW SHOWING 1. THE JAWS OF DEATH
2. FANGS
3.NIGHT OF THE CORBA WOMAN
All three rated R.
Summer,July 1970. “MOONSHINE WAR” ships out of theIMPERIAL to the WEIS DRIVE-In.
JUNE 12 1979 NOW SHOWING “WANDA NEVADA” with Brooke Shields and Peter Fonda. {Peter’s Dad had a small part in this film} Second feature is “BRASS TARGET” both rated PG.
Jan. 23 1977 Now Showing “MISTY BEETHOVEN” and “CARMEN,BABY” Both rated X.
NOW SHOWING JUNE 9 1972 INVASION OF THE BLOOD FARMERS and BLOOD SUCKERS and a third feature LIVER EATERS.{where are these films today?}
NOW SHOWING JULY 16 1972 THE GODFATHER {and for WEIS this is odd one feature and only one showing at 9:00pm.They would always play their first feature again.}
Now Showing July 30 1972 NIGHT OF THE LEPUS with Janet Leigh and HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS.
NOW SHOWING JULY 2 1972 TALES FROM THE CRYPT and HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD both PG.
NOW SHOWING NIGHT OF THE LEPUS with Janet Leigh and second feature is HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS.
Yep, YOU are right, When WEIS sold out their Triple theatre and Drive-in to Georgia Theatres it was U.S. 25 Drive in, but only for a short time before Georgia Theatres ran it in the ground. They painted over WEIS and put U.S. 25
DRIVE-IN.
TACKY.
Mike Rivest gives an address of Phinez at Route 25 on his site-scroll down to the bottom. Also, shouldn’t there be an aka of US 25 Drive-In?

August 23 1975, ALOHA, BOBBY AND ROSE is shipped out to the WEIS DRIVE-in after a nice run at NATIONAL HILLS. Second Feature is Steve McQueen in one of his last Drive-in movies JUNIOR BONNER.
FORGETABLE DOUBLE FEATURE at the WEIS CRASH and DIXIE DYNAMITE both ratedPG.
April 27 1968 Now Showing WAIT UNTIL DARK {a movie that would play at my Columbia 1 and 2 theatres in the late 70’s,go figure,} also second movie was THE LONG DUEL with Yul Brynner.
July 28 1969 now showing THE KILLING OF SISTER GEORGE rated X with the second feature HELL IN THE PACIFIC rated G. I always thought that HELL IN THE PACIFIC was more of an M rating.But the rating system was different in those days.
The name of the first manager of THE WEIS DRIVE in was CARY CLOUD. I looked in the local phonebook to see if he was still in the area,but no such name.
NOV. 17 1974 WEIS DRIVE IN is spending a few bucks on a nice size ad for THREE THE HARD WAY with Jim Brown and SUPERFLY T.N.T.
Of course THREE THE HARD WAY play at 6:30 and 10:30. with T.N.T. playing at 8:20. FREE IN CAR HEATERS. WEIS DRIVE IN ads are always larger than the HILLTOP and SKYVIEW.
Noticed in my COLUMBIA SQUARE 1 and 2 journal that WEIS DRIVE -IN is playing SIDEWINDER ONE with C.C. and COMPANY with ANN MARGRET and JOE NAMATH. Might be one time the second feature is better? C.C. released in 1969?
COLUMBIA SQUARE CINEMAS is playing DAY and DATE with a South Augusta DRIVE-IN.
WEIS DRIVE IN plays WHERE EAGLES DARE and a rather odd double feature,but have noticed a lot of odd double features, Second feature is BIGGEST BUNDLE OF THEM ALL..EASTWOOD and RAQUEL WELCH.only at a drive in.
THE WEIS DRIVE IN playing Nov.22 1974 THE STEEL EDGE OF REVENGE it was billed as a first AUGUSTA showing.EXCLUSIVE! BIG DOLL HOUSE was second feature and ARENA was third show.
April 9 1974 now playing at the WEIS DRIVE IN COCKFIGHTER and SWAMP GIRL.
WEIS DRIVE IN had first outdoor showing of TRAIL OF BILLY JACK.with second feature TELL THEM WILLE BOY IS HERE.
THE WEIS DRIVE-IN HAD A VERY NICE CONESSIONSTAND THAT WAS SORTA BELOW THE CUSTOMER, SO THE CONCESSIONSTAND WERE LOOKING UP TO THE CUSTOMERS. IT DID HAVE RADIO SOUND TOWARD IT’S END DAYS. I WENT BACK SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND OUT IN THE WOODS FOUND SEVERAL REELS. I ALSO SAW A VERY GOOD BASEBALL MOVIE THERE IT WAS ‘’ BANG THE DRUM SOFTLY'‘ I SAW TRUE GRIT THERE TOO. THIS THEATRE WAS FAR ENOUGHT OUT OF BRIGHT LIGHTS THAT TODAY ONE COULD GET A GOOD PICTURE. GEORGIA THEATRES HAD EVERY RIGHT TO SELL IT FOR REAL ESTATE, BUT TODAY. IT THINK IT WOULD BE A MONEY MAKER. WITH GOOD MANAGEMENT. BUT THERE IS NO SCREEN OR DRIVE IN. A CHURCH WAS SUPPOSE TO TAKE THE LAND.
BUT THE LAST TIME I DROVE OUT THERE… NOTHING!
