There on that screen many many Disney films as a child but as a pre teeen RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, POLTERGEIST, FRANCES, TIME BANDITS, KING KONG (76) & seen a few duds POPEYE & THE SWARM and with the fun pier…total heaven for any kid in the 60s to 80s.
I loved this cinema due to the cult film genre and I wished I was able to see those cult R rated flicks that used to display on the front (i was only a kid at the time but i got see films like THE MUPPET MOVIE , SALTY , WHEN A STRANGER CALLS , GRIZZLY and anything else that was shown as Sat arvo matinee or double feature.
As you left the cinema, 2 Stanley Krubrick classics A CLOCKWORK ORANGE & 2001 A SPACE ODDESY were displayed as exited the cinema.
And the cinema was located across the road from one of the most beautiful beaches in Manly.

Sadly missed (back in those days there was a fun pier across the road as well) and seen many (and not so many) great films there.

I loved this cinema and experienced many a magic movie moments during THE GOONIES
Remember seeing a double bill of COMA plus THE ONE & THE ONLY with my sister here and THE WIZ with Aunt Muriel
It was sad to see this beautiful cinema in this conditions before it was knocked down.
