Located in the north Sydney suburb of Mosman. The Greater Union Cinema Centre opened on 25th September 1987. It was built on the site of, and was a replacement for, the magnificent Art Deco style New Kings Theatre.
The two screens are located on the first floor of the building (car-parking is at ground level). They have wall to wall curtaining, and huge screens.
Sadly the Greater Union Mosman Cinemas was closed on 25th January 2011. It was demolished in July 2017.

All external signage has been removed and it lies awaiting its fate. Projectors & stage end stripped but everything else still inside.
terrible shame it’s not running anymore, i loved this style of cinema from the 80’s/early 90’s across Sydney – they were big cinema’s inside with similar curtains and colour styles
The Village 4 at Parramatta westfield before it became an 8 was like this as well from memory
I loved this cinema and experienced many a magic movie moments during THE GOONIES
Was privileged to be the first manager of this beautiful theatre. It was one time when the engineers and architects go it all right. It also marked the return to the BIG screens in an auditorium. Mark Lees.

Something is being built there(unknown what it is?).
