Markinthedark, they were exits under the screen. The Eric McDade Mall was also the same until they quaded it.
This was about the only single screen theater that the Sameric corporation didn’t twin.
It was the Fine Arts. It became a spin off of St Patrick’s cathederal for many years but that closed about 10 years ago
Loved White Tower. Any still open? When my famly lived across from the theater in the 70’s the White Tower was long gone. Across from the theater was an Acme supermaket which eventually moved up into the old Penn Fruit building.
I worked there briefly as manager in 1983, like 1 night and realized I got myself in way over my head. LOL They were showing Return of The Jedi than.
Great news. Status above need to be updated to open and if I rememebr corretly without going through all the posts it is now 5 screens
Rivoli 157 any chance of uplaoding those photo’s of Oliver in 1969?
Does AMC still use the curtains at this theater? LAst i looked they only had one show a day.Not a good sign.
Wonderful news. Glad the Frank’s are out.
Wow this is great news that at least 2 theaters are opening.
So is Cleaview sraying in the movie business John Fink or is Bow Tie running it.
I know this theater was not there in the 70’s or the 60’s for that fact.
Great huge screen. This digital conversion really sucks. So many wonderful theaters will be gone.
What is there now?
Wow this is a surpirse. Sunrise cinemas remodled this theater and put in stadium seating a few years back beofre they sold to the Frank Chain.
Status should be updated to demolished. It is now a school.
Man they didn’t waste any time :(
Did they convert to digital this year?
I know Walter Reade theaters operated the Atlantic and Absecon Drive-In in the Atlantic City area.
I agree Seth Lewis. I lived in NYC from 76-83 and it kills me that all the theaters east side and west side are almost as distict as dinsours.
Live theater there would suck. Needs to stay a movei theater.
This is very sad news. The Ziegfeld should be their flagship theater. UGH
Why would they not take over the Ziegeld. That should be there flagship theater. How sad.
Please update status to open live theater.
It was Bobbc316 in the late 60’s early 70’s they did have boxing.
